You must book your flight to arrive at Can Tho International Airport (VCA) in Can Tho city, before 6 pm local time. Flights are not included in program costs, you can arrange your travel with an online service provider such as Skyscanner.
Visa requirements can vary from nationality to nationality, use this online resource to check your requirements. You will need a passport issued by your country of citizenship as well as a tourist visa* issued by the country to which you will be traveling. Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months from the expected date of return to your home country.

Note: It is your sole responsibility to ensure that you have a valid passport and the appropriate visa for travel. In most programs, you should enter as a TOURIST unless you stay for periods longer than 1 month in the same country.
Make sure you are up to date on routine vaccines before every trip. These vaccines include the measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine, diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis vaccine, varicella (chickenpox) vaccine, polio vaccine, and your yearly flu shot.
You should ideally arrange an appointment with your travel clinic at least four to six weeks before travel. This appointment provides an opportunity to assess health risks taking into account a number of factors including destination, medical history, and planned activities. In case you have pre-existing health problems, an earlier appointment is strongly recommended.
Hepatitis A - CDC recommends this vaccine because you can get hepatitis A through contaminated food or water in Malawi, regardless of where you are eating or staying.
Typhoid - You can get typhoid through contaminated food or water in Malawi. CDC recommends this vaccine for most travelers, especially if you are staying with friends or relatives, visiting smaller cities or rural areas, or if you are an adventurous eater.
Note: Vaccinations against cholera and yellow fever are required by the Mexican Immigration Office if the visitor has been in an infected area two weeks before entry into Mexico.
